September 19, 2006 Board Meeting Agenda Item #24 Title PROPOSED SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT REGARDING SARASOTA COUNTY'S COMPREHENSIVE PLAN Description In July 2006, the School Board submitted to the Florida Department of Community Affairs a challenge to the Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners' April 2006 adoption of its Comprehensive Plan.  The School Board subsequently asked that planning and legal staff work with the county's staff in an attempt to settle the matter prior to a hearing.  The attachment includes the proposed settlement agreement and county ordinance, to be considered by the County Commission on September 26 and 27.
